How We’re Helping During Corona Virus Crisis

The corona virus has created a rare moment in history.
All over the world, people are experiencing the same crisis together.

But for persecuted Christians who are already marginalized, quarantines, shut-downs, and food price-hikes add to their troubles.

Driven by God’s grace and compassion, here are a just few ways Christian Freedom International is helping:

• Our sponsored children and others in Egypt’s Garbage City are given care packages with soap, antiseptic sprays, disinfectants, cough, cold and flu medicines, tissues and more.

• Pakistan brickyard owners threaten to alert police if Christians in debt bondage leave the premises during the shut-down. Christian Freedom International delivered food and masks to the families inside the brickyards.

• Our school buildings are thoroughly cleaned with disinfectants.

• Teachers at CFI’s school for refugees keep students on-track with lessons online, and personally check in on them. School lunches are delivered to shut-in families.

 

• On the border of Burma, teachers and student at CFI’s Victory Bible Academy prepare aid packages with food, antiseptics, masks. They travel to remote villages to deliver to the needy and outcasts, share info on staying safe, pray, and document needs for follow up. They seek to reach 2,000 people.

• In Bangladesh, disabled and Christian converts are given food and antiseptics. Many are day laborers or street beggars who live day-to-day.

• Pakistani Christian refugees in Bangkok are given food and supplies during the shut-down. Teachers at CFI’s school for refugees keep students on-track with lessons online, and personally check in on them. School lunches are delivered to shut-in families.

• Church services for Pakistani Christian refugees go online – and prayer meetings added for Christians in Pakistan.

• Rice and Bibles delivered by river currents even as North Korea’s borders are locked down.
