A few years ago, we told his incredible story and asked people to pray for “Jadrah: A Living Peter”
Since then, Jadrah has prayed for a man who hated him.
Jadrah used to be an imam, a popular Muslim leader. Then, at 75 years old, Jesus appeared to him in a dream and he was radically saved. Since then, he has paid an enormous cost to follow Jesus.
To this day, Jadrah risks his life to find his former followers to tell them about Jesus and disciple the new believers. Being a Christian convert – and evangelizing – in a Muslim country is dangerous. Even getting baptized is risky for everyone who is involved.
Jadrah is encouraged and supported by his sponsor through Christian Freedom International’s sponsorship program. And, when extremists threaten his life, he is a frequent guest in CFI’s shelter.

In August, we got this news:
Kumar, a potter by profession, was a follower of Jadrah when Jadrah was a Muslim leader. Kumar respected Imam Jadrah and sought his advice on everything. But when he learned that Imam Jadrah became a Christian, he was shocked. He hated Jadrah and cut off all communication with him.
But Jadrah never got upset with Kumar. He prayed and hoped that someday Kumar would come to him and accept Jesus. Finally, the time came. Jadrah met Kumar in a market and invited him for tea. Kumar asked if he became a Christian for money?!
Jadrah explained that Jesus Christ is the only Savior and the only way to heaven. He shared references from the Quran. Kumar understood.
He accepted the Lord Christ as his Savior.
Then they faced an obstacle: where could he be baptized? For a month, Jadrah searched for a safe place to baptize Kumar. So, he came to CFI’s coworker who told Jadrah that we don’t have place to baptize. Our coworker prayed and suddenly thought of a particular church with a private place for baptism.
He contacted the pastor. But they could not get permission [Everyone fears Islamic extremists may attack the church for baptizing a former Muslim].
Then we sent a Christian woman to talk to the right people. It was agreed to allow us to baptize the new believer. A CFI pastor baptized Kumar in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Please pray for Kumar to be strong in faith, to serve the Lord even when the storms come, and for his family to be saved.
God answers prayers!
