While persecuted Church organizations primarily provide aid, Christian Freedom International combines aid with advocacy. CFI is active in Washington, D.C. speaking out on behalf of voiceless Christians around the world. We invite journalists and sponsor congressional delegations to areas of intense persecution. We carefully document evidence of persecution around the world and present our findings so that policymakers can make informed decisions regarding trade, aid, visas, and related issues with a particular country. In addition to aid and advocacy Christian Freedom International also advances the concept of “microenterprise†or “self-help.†CFI trains indigenous Christians how to support themselves, their families, and their churches. We are supported by caring individuals, churches, and a few foundations. Furthermore, there is so much work that needs to be done on behalf of persecuted Christians today; there is no overlap of work from the handful of groups working on this issue. Frankly, more organizations, not less, are needed to help the persecuted Church. |
